Gawler Club — 16 November 2013


The annual Gawler Club cue-sports tournaments have been completed, with John Brereton the most successful member with three titles in billiards.

In snooker, Paschal Somers won the open, while Robert Tiller took the handicap event and Nat Hardy was champion on the small table.

On the large table, Hardy also won the eightball title, while Con Argy took the small table honours, for his first championship.

The doubles titles saw seven different members in the winners’ list from the four events.


Billiards: open – John Brereton d Robert Tiller; handicap – John Brereton d Lindsay Mortimer; doubles – Lindsay Mortimer/Robert Tiller d Geoff Short/David Krause; small table – John Brereton d Robert Tiller.

Snooker: open – Paschal Somers d John Brereton; handicap – Robert Tiller d Phil Zeunert; doubles – Geoff Short/Steve Winder d Michael Jacob/Robert Laidlaw; small table – Nat Hardy d Robert Tiller.

Eightball: open – Nat Hardy d Phil Parker; doubles – Nat Hardy/Robert Tiller d Norm Lange/Norm Lange; small table singles – Con Argy d Lindsay Mortimer; small table doubles – Norm Lange/John Brereton d Lindsay Mortimer/Robert Tiller.
