A strong squad has been selected for the Mid North team for the Bank SA senior country cricket carnival, to be held in Adelaide from Monday, February 3 to Thursday February 6.
Baggy Blues skipper Ben Burgess will captain the team again, while his deputy will be Sandy Creek wicketkeeper Andrew Kokot, who had T20 experience with the Outbacks in December.
Also playing in the Premier League T20 series for the Outbacks was Freeling batting ace Ben Parish.
Fellow Cockatoo and the person who shared the Mosey Medal with Burgess, Stephen Hands heads a host of talented all-rounders who can quickly impact a game.
The team is entirely from the Barossa and Light Cricket Association.
Mid North start with a match against Murray Districts/Barrier at Woodville Oval, with the Tuesday fixture against the potent South East side at Gliderol Stadium, Glenelg, and the Wednesday game is against reigning champions Yorke Peninsula at Henley Memorial Oval.
Being in the tough half of the draw, if the lads can engineer three wins they will play in the grand final on Thursday.
